Finance & Bankruptcy

The "F&B" group is made up of both litigation and transactional attorneys.  Members of the "F" side of the "F&B" group represent lenders and borrowers in a broad spectrum of secured and unsecured financial transactions.  The work of these lawyers includes performing due diligence, drafting and negotiating documents and advising clients.  Typical transactions involve documentation of complex financings to facilitate the acquisition and expansion of operations.  Projects range from Las Vegas casinos to low-income housing projects; both types of financings are specialties of our finance lawyers.

When the good times stop rolling, members of the "B" side of the "F&B" group solve problems presented by business insolvencies.  They advise secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, creditors' committees, real property and equipment lessors, and bankruptcy trustees.   Bankruptcy attorneys are involved in loan workouts and financial restructurings, bankruptcy proceedings, creditors' rights matters in state court and acquisitions of distressed assets.  Although "F&B" stands for Finance & Bankruptcy, it's also Flourishing and Busy.
