Sheryl K. Horwitz is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Ms. Horwitz defends employers in all aspects of labor and employment disputes. The majority of her practice is dedicated to defending employers in class actions alleging violations of California's wage and hour laws. She is also experienced in defending lawsuits alleging sexual harassment, hostile work environment, religious discrimination, and wrongful termination in violation of public policy. Ms. Horwitz counsels employers on personnel policies and procedures, employee discipline matters, and wage and hour issues. She has also defended clients before the National Labor Relations Board. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Horwitz practiced civil litigation in the health care context. Her practice included complex contractual disputes and managed care liability for Fortune 500 health maintenance organizations and subsidiaries.
